Tanya and Harry fly out to Frankfurt on the 23rd Sept. Harry has been asked to represent Australia at the General Assembly of the International Federation of Interior Architects in Copenhagen. The chap who was to have gone has withdrawn as his wife is about to have a baby so they asked at pretty short notice. They will be away for three weeks. They will fly to Frankfurt, pick up a car and drive to Essen where we will attend a concert of Greg's on the night of the 24th then drive on to Copenhagen where they will be for 5 days. Then they plan to drive back to Essen having a bit of a look around that part of the world (not been there) before dropping the car in Düsseldorf on the 8th Oct. flying to Heathrow, picking up another car and driving up to Cambridge to meet up with Tim Anna-Maria and Edward who will be arriving there on the 1st Oct. after leaving Sydney on the 30th Sept. Then Harry & Tanya will fly home on the 15th Oct.

On 22nd Sept John & Vicki are flying to Sydney to catch up with Vicki’s cousin Sue (Kelly) Robey & her husband David who will be briefly in Australia to visit their daughter Toria in Cairns. They are meeting Sue & David for dinner then staying overnight at the Swissotel & flying back to Moruya in the evening of 23rd.

A little piece of some interest, Sue (Kelly) Robey works as a Haematologist in the UK, the hospital where she works also has another Dr Kelly who works in psychiatry the need to differentiate the two Dr Kelly’s has brought about the nick-names “Bloody” Kelly for Sue & “Mad” Kelly for the other Dr.

19th Aug 2005 - A snippet from Harry Stephens: Amanda's research project (broadly speaking concerned with the medico/legal issues of 'shaken baby' syndrome) that was heading towards a Master of Criminology has just been up-graded. She is now doing her PhD. The project was judged by her superiors to be too extensive and important to be just a Masters. She will complete the data collection phase in the next few months before the wedding then will write it up whilst she and Kerwyn are in London next year. Kerwyn will be doing some work towards furthering his career as a Radiologist in London.

10th July '05 Greg Stephens has just been appointed to a German orchestra, the Essener Philharmoniker. His position will be 'Wechsel-Horn', playing 3rd/2nd/Wagner Tuba. Not sure of the length of the contract yet but this is one of the best orchestras in Germany so to get a leg in here is great. He will be working in an Alvar Aalto designed theatre, the great Finnish architect. Lucky boy! Essen is just north of Cologne.
