Note	single John Stephens Jnr remembers "Uncle Bob visiting his sister Nana Stephens in Randwick each Sunday for lunch. He lived in a room in Darlinghurst. When he came he would always bring a bag of bananas. He would sit on the verandah at Mears Ave and read the paper and smoke his pipe. He always looked 'spic and span' and well dressed in a suit with very shiny shoes when he came, probably not managing to be like that when he was on his own. He had been in World War 1. (His medals were to be taken to the War Mermorial museum in Canberra by Dad - I think we still have them). Uncle Bob used work for CSR as an accountant. *MEDALS Donated to the Australian War Memorial in 2007 by John & Vicki Stephens.
Note	Bob Clements was Ida Clements brother, the son of Isabella McGrory and John Clements. He went to school at the Christian Brothers School, Gregorys Terrace, Brisbane. He went to the Boer War on a horse. He was also in the 1st World War, and his niece Mary Isobel Stephens remembered seeing him marching off to war at Wooloomooloo.
